“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” is now available for pre-order on Amazon.com! Speculation continues as to which character will die in the seventh and final chapter of J.K. Rowling’s wildly popular series and I, for one, can’t wait to find out. I’ll be pulling an all-nighter when my book comes out on 21 July. Pre-order now and join me at Hogwarts!

People often talk about wanting to get their lives together, about simplifying, about not having enough time to do the things they want to do. Most of us are almost crushed under the load of responsibilities and “have to do’s” that we take on. We try to make things happen, forgetting that the universe is happening all around us. We make our lives complex, and then develop technologies to support what we’re doing, which breeds more complexity, and so on. With our Blackberries and computers and gps and Palm Pilots and I-pods and Tivo and satellite radio and cell phones that play music, surf the Internet, and alert us to news and weather while enabling us to keep in constant contact, we still have no time for living.

Living successfully isn’t about making a lot of money or having your name on a letterhead. It’s about embracing all that life has to offer and responding honestly to what is happening every minute. I’m always amazed (and amused) when I go to the grocery store and people are walking up and down the aisles talking into cell phones or those Bluetooth things that sprout out of their ear. What, I wonder, could be so important that they have to discuss it while picking out toothpaste and paper towels? And don’t get me started on people who talk on a cell phone while in the restroom. Ick.

When we start to live our lives authentically, we become like athletes who are in “the zone”. We respond to life instinctively, not by reacting. Things start to become effortless; we take care of what comes up and we learn to trust that, whatever shows up in our life, we will meet it. We learn that life never brings us things at the wrong time. When we concentrate on what is in front of us each moment, the universe will respond and return to us what we need. And in this way, we more fully experience what life has to offer, appreciating the wonder of reality as it actually is, not what we wish it to be.

For more on the concept of living life in the “now”, I strongly recommend Eckhart Tolle’s books “The Power of Now” and “A New Earth”. Through reading them, I’m making some changes in the way I live my life and where I want my life to go. Very cool indeed.

Drew Rozell has some very deep, personal thoughts on the Law of Attraction and how it has manifested in his own life. He also comments on Andy Wibbel’s Secret Challenge”—all of which makes for some very interesting reading and discussion. Check it out on his blog, and drop me a note here, letting me know what you think.

What Is The Secret

You’ve seen it on Oprah and Larry King. Maybe you’ve got your own copy of the DVD. Now Andy Wibbels is offering an interesting opportunity to get on “The Secret” bandwagon. He’s starting a 30-day challenge. Check it out here—and let me know how you do.

I stumbled across this great article from Steve Olson’s blog. “Ten Tips to Secure a Management Position Without a College Degree”.

Although it’s pitched to people without college degrees, it definitely applies to anyone looking to success in the business world—whether you have a degree or not.

Check it out here.
